President
Neha Agarwal (G4, Civil and Environmental Engineering)
Neha is pursuing a PhD with Professor Anu Ramaswami’s Urban Nexus Lab. Her research aims to inform urban infrastructure transitions that benefit the simultaneous and interdependent goals of heat resilience and decarbonization in the Global South, and in particular, India. She explores the public policy dimensions of her work through the HMEI-STEP Fellowship, awarded for her proposed research on state capacity for effective urban transitions in India, and her engagement with the larger climate/energy-focused research community at Princeton as a PECS Scholar. Previously, she has served as the Treasurer for the Association of South Asians at Princeton. In her free time, Neha enjoys books, films, food, and art.

My research focuses on developing safe and reliable robotic and AI systems capable of operating in complex, uncertain environments. I combine reinforcement learning, control theory, and world modeling to help robots anticipate failures and provide theoretical safety guarantees. Outside of research, I love spending time outdoors—hiking, backpacking, and leading trips with Outdoor Action. I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dogs, especially over good food and board game nights!
